Immersive goal-scoring arcade title Football Champ was the “star performer” for Electrocoin at this year’s Irish Gaming Show, attracting customers both old and new to the supplier’s stand.

Offering one or two players an immersive penalty shootout experience, and featuring a 65” monitor, Football Champ was one of a number of games that gave Electrocoin another “very good” event.

“It was a positive show, and we met many of our existing but also new operators,” said MD John Stergides. “The second day was also very good. We had a lot of interest in our games, especially the Football Champ, which was a star performer along with the Big Wheel. We also had a lot of plays on the Pinballs; we showed John Wick and King Kong Pro.”

“The show brought in plenty of good business, as it’s always a good show for Electrocoin. We will of course be there again next year.” Speaking on the wider Irish market, Stergides added: “We have always had a presence in the country, as it’s an important market for Electrocoin.

“It’s always been a key market and there are more leisure centres like bowling opening up in Ireland, which shows there is a potential for more coin-op operators.”
