Funland Arcade received two special guests last week, with boxer Anthony Joshua and Marvel hero Chris Hemsworth both visiting the Brunswick Centre arcade.

The two stars took time for photos playing the machines, as well as with staff, who described the event as “epic”. “Just another epic day at Funland Arcade, when you never know who might drop by,” said Electrocoin’s John A Stergides.

“Big smiles, bigger prizes, and the biggest surprise guests.”

The visit is not Hemsworth’s first time in an arcade, in fact in 2021 the film star was filmed “nearly breaking” a boxer machine after training for Thor sequel Love and Thunder. “In the video, Hemsworth hits the punching bag so hard it nearly breaks off and goes flying, leaving him with a ‘score’ of 8,792,” reported Men’s Health. “He then followed it up with a roundhouse kick.”
