Thirty Five and still going strong -Pedigree is everything!

While manufacturers have come and gone over the years, the name PCP has been around for a long time and celebrates its 35th Birthday with ringing endorsements for its current Cat C product, Monte Carlo.
The PCP brand which is part of the Electrocoin family is based in Bath and is experiencing great success with their Monte Carlo digital platform, which has proven itself across both the pub and arcade sectors over the past 12 months.

Electrocoin’s Kevin Weir was keen to point out that the development and longevity of games is down to a stable team that has built upon the experience accumulated over many years in the industry.
“We have a small but experienced team at PCP that is under the direction of Electrocoin’s Games Development Manager Chris Pratt, who has accumulated a wealth of experience in the digital sector over the past 13 years.

The team produces games that combine the best from the past, in the form of Bar X and OXO influenced titles, to the latest innovations that maximise the benefits from ever improving digital techniques,” Weir added, “While PCP has worked in many countries over the past 35 years, our main focus has always been the UK, particularly when it comes to digital product. Our first digital product was produced in 2005 and we will be including some of the best content from that era in an updated form in our new release at EAG and ICE. Some of these were classic Bar X style games that we continually get requests for. However, we also have some exciting new developments that we have been testing, which are producing excellent results. We are looking forward to presenting our new line up of games at the forthcoming shows and will present these in more than one cabinet option, which have been tailored to different customer requirements.”

Regarding pedigree, Weir commented about the benefit of experience, saying, “With the latest graphic developments, it is not difficult to make a product look attractive, however it is what lies beneath that is critical to the game performance and the customer experience. We have always looked at reliability and longevity as being the key to our success. When someone buys a Monte Carlo, they know that it has years of experience built into it and will continue to grow going forward.

Electrocoin has diversified in recent years with significant growth in the redemption and cashless sectors, headed up by Gabi Stergides, however the digital AWP business remains very much at the core of the companies ambitions going forward.”

Electrocoin will be showing Monte Carlo at both EAG on stand 516, and at ICEon stand N1-400
