A mix of brand new products and some rebooted old favourites meant there was something for everyone on the Electrocoin booth at EAG.

Electrocoin Sales generated a serious buzz at EAG with its Monte Carlo dual screen digital Cat C multi-game compendium which was shown housed in the firm’s new Electra cabinet. Business development director Kevin Weir was clearly delighted with the industry response to the product, saying: “What has been really pleasing is that people have been coming up to us and saying
‘I’ve heard about this can you show me’. That means people are talking about it which is great and that’s half the battle.”

According to Weir, Monte Carlo now benefits from an increased menu which hosts up to 18 games that can be made available at any one time; effectively double what was on offer previously.

He explained: “We have a number of new games including Wild Rover and there are some older titles that we deliberately left at £70 jackpot in order to give a more active game for the player. If you took those games and put them on a £100 top payout it would stretch the game play a bit.

“Ultimately it’s up to the operator what games are on there. They don’t have to have 18 – they can just offer one. But we’ll be adding more games to the game pack every year. They’re all unique and you won’t see them on anybody else’s machines. It’s designed for arcade and single sectors and it’s been a proven success in both.”

Electrocoin also showcased the latest incarnation of the timeless classic Dance Dance Revolution.
“The formula hasn’t really changed,” said Weir, “but what has changed is that all the content is obviously new. There’s circa 600 songs on there, so a much bigger menu. It has a new screen and new presentation. The platform is all steel whereas previously it was constructed partly from wood, which means it will be much more durable. But from the players’ point of view, it is exactly the same formula why change it, it’s a winner.”

He added: “On pinball, we’re showing Stern Pinball’s Guardians of the Galaxy which is making its first appearance in Europe. It’s part of a range of licensed games which is growing all the time and has been really well received.”

Also on stand was the old Electrocoin favourite, Barx 7even, and GoGo Chicken. And last, but not least of Electrocoin’s showcase was redemption title Knock Down Alley which Weir described as a
‘very straightforward, nice fun piece available at a sensible price’.
