Electrocoin Open Day 2026

Rain fails to dampen spirit at Open Day as Electrocoin welcomes optimistic crowd

Park Avenue Open Day 2026 once again saw scores of attendees make their way to Electrocoin HQ to discover the latest products, compare expectations for the season, raise money for charity, and, of course, enjoy the Greek BBQ. With another successful Open Day accomplished, MD John Stergides is “keeping optimistic” for a strong summer.

Though showers threatened to dampen the mood of Park Avenue Open Day last week, the scores of attendees visiting Electrocoin HQ were able to imagine themselves in sunnier climes thanks to the supplier’s traditional and much loved Greek BBQ.

However, it wasn’t just the food lifting spirits, with MD John Stergides telling Coinslot that the majority of visitors were in an optimistic mood and looking forward to a positive summer season, all while helping raise £6,000 for charity.

“This year’s Open Day was well attended considering the rainy start, and it was very positive,” said Stergides. “Attendance was more than last year and a lot of key representatives for many companies domestic and overseas turned up.”

“Gary Stern and John Buscaglia from Stern attended the Open Day, as well as representatives from Elmac in Italy, and a few people from Ireland, the Netherlands, and as far afield as Japan.”

The event gave attendees the chance to discuss the upcoming season, with Stergides noting that the majority of conversations were “keeping optimistic” despite “mixed reports” from an FEC perspective.

“Although,” he added, “the gaming machines market is continuously growing. Our new Transformers pinball was a key interest, along with Konami DDR Universal and the new Football Champ.”

The Greek BBQ and ice cream van once again proved a rousing success, and between donations and the raffle prizes provided, the event raised £6,000 for the Bacta Charitable Trust.

“I think it showed how important PAOD remains in the coin-op calendar, with the number of participating companies, and how well it was attended despite the current climate. Stern even used it as a global launch for the new pinball, Transformers: More Than Meets The
Eye.”

“We’d like to thank all the participating companies, the sponsors, attendees and the staff for making it a great day, and for helping raise the money for the Bacta Charitable Trust.”
